Seth Godin is a marketing guy, but I think he would make a pretty dab hand at developing software as well:

Don't get hung up on Maven versus Ant, Hudson versus Bamboo, Flex versus ExtJS, TDD versus DBC...
Do get hung up on REST versus RPC, Push versus Pull versus Push and Pull, Relational versus Column Stores versus Distributed Hash Tables versus Shards...
